LETTERS OF CREDIT - PENHALIGON TRADERS GUILD
Traders Guild (1 NPC per)
Each trades in levels of coinage for Letters of Credit (minor, major, expansion)
Trading Coins with the Merchantress.
After the boom in trading with the gates opening, the trading matron has demanded she will only handle 100 coin trades.
If you have more than 100 or less than 100 on you, you must use the coin storage table or hand them to a friend or come back later. If you have 101, no thank you. If you have 99, no thank you. If you have exactly 100, yes, you may have your upgraded coin and trade. Why? Post Traumatic Currency Stress, probably.
100 Copper Traders Marks = 1 Silver Traders Mark
100 Silver Traders Marks = 1 Gold Traders Mark
100 Gold = 1 Letter of credit minor
5 Minor letters of credit = Major letter of credit
15 Major letters of credit = Expansion letter of credit
Minor: assist a current city a little (for RP praise, or a plotline)
Major: change a current city for the better (for RP praise, or a plotline)
Expansion: add to a brand new city (Build changes)
Cashing out on Letters of Credit:

any Expansion: Letter of Credit to Niss or Silveri / Silvani (major item to their discretion)

Property Expansion: House in any City (multiple expansions of specific types will improve the situation.)
*City: Kelvin Rural, Kelvin, Highforge, Verge, Threshold, Mirros Foreign, Penhaligon Foreign, Ylaruam Foreign
How to get Traders Marks:
Through loot. Finishing quests. Handing in items. DM reward.
How to create a new town.
You will need 1 Expansion letter of credit from each type of trader. Even then, it will depend on the property you have negotiated with the DM's and via storyline. Where it is and why. Multiple property expansion letters will be required per 15x15 map, maximum of 3 buildings per property expansion letter. 1 merchant per merchant expansion letter, etc. This is a long term, group attempt solution to world building.
Letters of Credit Storage, Cashing out and Trading up.
The coins stack up to 100 and take up minimal space in player bags.
Letters of credit are quite large and do not stack. As such Penhaligon Merchants Guild can also be treated as a bank for your letters of credit.
You can trade your coins in to a DM and we will email you a receipt of your current stock of letters of credit.
You may have up to 10 unspecified letters at a time, after you reach 10, you will need to denominate who your credit will be held with from the list of Merchants.
Cashing up to a letter of credit and cashing out a letter of credit must all be done by contacting the DM's via a PM with your wishes and the credits and we will assign a time to do this for you.
