A fairly fancy scroll has been attached to the noticeboard, the top half is well written, portions exaggerated with small bits of calligraphy.
It Reads:
As yet untitled
Into the goblin cave a few, well one or two, did adventure seek.
One large and sturdy, the other wordy, and clearly rather meek.
Goblins a plenty, their way did wenty, clearly intending to slay.
But Maximuses aximus, did render them thus, goblin head separation anxie-tay.
To chop the not a few cleave, render and hew, their panic was inevitable.
Their chief of the day, two parts fell each way, As Maximus did deliver the most skillfully glorious goblin slaughter deliverable.
But the second half, has been perhaps scrawled with a ratty feather pen repeatedly dipped in spilt red wine...
And then one day: a forest patrolled, goblins whacked oh so merrily, when low and behold, Maximus most unclothed, did stumble through less verily.
And then one day: assistance offered to one, in the forest, in need, indeed. Spiders did daunt, did ambush, did haunt, but conquered they were by the axe that cleaved and the wordy weed.
And then one day wordy did sway the way, the queen defeated lay. Recovered was much, explored the clutch, many spiders they (well the axe) did slay.
And then one day: the light did fade, soon neither glow, nor blessed blade, nor protections it seems, were enough to see enemies sundered.
And then that one fateful day, that light did fade completely away, and through claws was completely dismembered.
